It's nice to meet you!
My goal is to make your special occasions as sweet as can be. I stumbled upon the art of baking back in high school and have been in love with it ever since. I truly hope the love and passion that I put into my baking is expressed in every bite of my treats. I believe that baking is more than art - it should be about fun, trying new things, and learning from a few inevitable mistakes along the way.
The name Buon Bakes is derived from my family's Italian roots, and our instinctive tendency to indulge in great food. Directly translated, Buonvivere means "good living", and we firmly believe that the enjoyment of delicious treats is the secret to a good life.
Buon bakes is still in its intimate early stages; just a humble mother-daughter duo. We are optimistic that in the coming years, it will blossom into a successful local business - with your support, of course!
We hope you think our desserts are the "Buon Diggity"!
The one and only Mama Buon!
I have always loved cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. Baking is a wonderful compliment to my cooking repertoire, so when my daughter Sara not only embraced cake decorating but started developing cake recipes, I was thrilled!
I grew up in a Bosnian home with lots of delicious delicacies like baklava, krempite, and tulumbe to name a few. These memories and dishes inspire the flavours I use in my cooking and a unique authenticity you'll love. Watch out Cake Boss - there's a new Mama in town.
