So who the heck am I and why am I qualified to make desserts and tell you about it? The name's Buonvivere, Sara Buonvivere. I am currently a student at George brown, learning the wonderful art of baking and pastry. Sure, I'm hardly a professional baker by classic terms, but I’ve been figuring out my way around the dessert kitchen for years and years. If nothing else, let me be a testament to the fact that skills take time to develop. My first cake, a downright abomination, was just the jumping off point. Feast your eyes on this:

After a few classes, many failures and a whole lot of trial and error, I started to get the hang of it. This little hobby of mine grew into a full-blown passion, and before I knew it I was making sweet treats for absolutely any and every occasion. Birthday? Sure thing. Family dinner? I’m all over it. Fish’s funeral? Absolutely. With lots of practice, I got a little better with every cake that I made. Try to look past the quality of these photos, it was before 20 Megapixel phone cameras.
